I signed up for YELP just to review this place...the experience was that good. Planning a party is really stressful and I must say Michelle made the experience so easy. She was in constant communication about the event.
Her venue is elegant and very user friendly. I needed to throw a party for 80 television industry professionals and she accommodated the very large 3 room space to make a smaller party seem full. We were invited to a tasting event to make our menu choices (the catering ranges from traditional to hip). Everything is provided, the kitchen, bar, dance floor, dj booth, couches, dining area, catering, decorations, bartender, servers, clean up crew...for a very reasonable price. Also, there is secure parking just on the corner, for those who are nervous about downtown.
I help plan my sisters' 50th birthday party for 100 guest.
Michelle is a pleasure to work with. She was more than accommodating and her prices are very competitive. Additionally she was very flexible with set-up hours. I would certainly use the space again & highly recommend the space if you're looking for a beautiful, clean & well equipped space & great location.
I am the VP of the Southern California chapter of the Event Planners Association and we hosted our Mastermind session recently at "The Party Spot". We were so glad we chose that location. 2 things 1st. OMG, the pricing has to be the best around for a location & venue of its size in downtown LA, which is such an up & coming area. & Michelle was great with allowing us to come book the venue at such a close time to when our event was taking place considering when we contacted her. Literally we only gave her a few days notice. Her hospitality is out of this world. Then the parking is great for downtown and so much space for guests, although it cost, it was a very very small fee, and parking cost everywhere as we know in downtown. Then the venue size is massive. Its looks really nice also. And our caterer found the kitchen very easy to utilize. Because we are event professionals we look for a lot more in the venues when we hold our own events and we were truly impressed.
With out a doubt, The Party Spot & owner Michelle, have been added to many of our little black books as one of the go to spots to show potential clients for their upcoming events. You can't beat the price, location, size, & hospitality u get there by looking at any other place in the downtown area.
